What happens when a license lapses?
Lifetime — Updates Lapse
After your first year of free updates, the app continues working exactly as-is. You keep the version you have, with all paid features intact. Only future updates require renewal at $19–$69/yr depending on your tier.
Your app never stops working. Updates are optional.
Yearly Subscription — Cancelled
If you cancel your subscription, the app reverts to the free tier at the end of your billing period. Paid features become unavailable but your existing converted files remain intact and usable.
Your converted files are always yours — nothing is deleted.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use the license on multiple computers? ⌄
Yes. Each seat in your license can be activated on one machine at a time. You can deactivate a seat from the app and reactivate it on a new machine. Personal licenses include 1 seat; team packs include 3 or 5 seats.
Do I need an internet connection to use the app? ⌄
No. Conversion is fully offline. An internet connection is only needed for license activation/validation and for downloading updates. Once validated, the app works offline for an extended grace period.
What is the difference between the LGPL and GPL FFmpeg builds? ⌄
FFmpeg is not bundled with the app. The LGPL build supports most formats and is suitable for commercial use without source code obligations. The GPL build adds support for some additional codecs (like x264/x265 CPU encoding in certain configurations). See the FFmpeg Setup Guide for details on which build to choose.
Can I upgrade from a Personal to a Team license? ⌄
Upgrade pricing is not currently automated. Contact support@roncodev.com and we will arrange a discounted upgrade to a team tier.
Is there a refund policy? ⌄
Yes. We offer a 14-day no-questions-asked refund for all purchases. Contact support@roncodev.com within 14 days of purchase. For yearly subscriptions, refunds are available at the start of any new billing period.
Where is my license key after purchase? ⌄
Lemon Squeezy emails your license key immediately after payment. Check your spam folder if it does not arrive within a few minutes. You enter the key in the app via Settings → License. The key format is a UUID (e.g. xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx).
